Garmin Edge 2 Power Mount

Never take your Edge off the handlebars to charge again – the Edge Power Mount gives you connectivity to compatible Bosch and SHIMANO e-bike systems, as well as the Cannondale SmartSense system. So your Edge is charged via the battery of the e-bike system and you never have to worry about the battery level of your bike navigator, no matter how long your tour is. The Edge Power Mount is compatible with all Edge with charging pins (Edge Explore 2 Power, Edge 1040, Edge 1030 (Plus), Edge 830 and 530). Included with the Edge Explore 2 Power is the Edge Power Mount. The corresponding adapter cable for Bosch or SHIMANO systems is not included. The Cannondale SmartSense system is compatible without adapter cable.

Tour-specific maps: find your way around like a local, no matter what bike you’re riding. Optimized maps show popular roads and trails, and highlight busy areas you can avoid.

Turn-by-Turn directions: Find your way with ease. Turn-by-turn directions and alerts warn you of upcoming turns.

Route recalculation: Interrupt route guidance and recalculation when you deviate from the route to explore off the beaten path. When you want to follow the route again, Edge Explore 2 shows you the way.

Climbpro – Divide climbs properly: Automatically see the remaining climb and grade when you’re going uphill and following a route or track. This way you can estimate how much effort you can expect and how long it will take to get to the top. You can even save climbs to view on your device or in the Garmin Connect app after your ride.

E-bike compatibility: If you have an e-bike that’s compatible with Shimano Steps or ANT+® technology, you can see a dedicated e-bike status page with data fields, like battery life and more. Even smart routing and range alerts based on battery level, motor assist and planned route are available.

Varia Compatibility: Pair Edge Explore 2 with your Varia Radar for safer cycling. This allows you to detect vehicles from up to 140 meters away and draw attention to you with the bright tail light.

Accident detection: this Edge device automatically sends a message with your location to preloaded emergency contacts when an accident is detected.

Bike alarm against theft: The bike alarm is protected by a PIN and you will receive a notification on the paired smartphone if your bike is moved while you are, for example, getting a water or taking a short break.

Compatible with TACX Indoor Trainer: Pair Edge® Explore 2 with your Tacx® Indoor Trainer and you can train whenever and wherever you want.

Quick setup: Get started right away instead of wasting time configuring settings. Get pre-populated custom ride profiles based on ride types and your chosen sensors. Manage your tour profiles directly on the device or connected smartphone.

Grouptrack feature: After pairing with your smartphone, you can keep track of your friends. GroupTrack is available for riders using compatible Garmin devices. It lets you track up to 50 people at once.

Fitness and outdoor software update Q3 2024

Update your Edge bike computer automatically via the Garmin Connect app. Please note that the « automatic updates » function must be activated on your smartwatch. Alternatively, you can also update your Garmin product via Garmin ExpressTM on your computer. Please note that map updates for many bike computers are only possible via Garmin ExpressTM. To be able to use the full range of functions of your Edge bike computer, we recommend that you always keep the software and the maps installed on it (if available) up to date.

• Garmin Coach: The Garmin Coach helps you prepare for an event or supports you in improving your fitness. Garmin Run and Cycling Coaches offer training plans that adapt individually and dynamically based on your health and activity data. Coach Greg, Amy and Jeff, on the other hand, offer defined plans for different running distances.
• Community danger spots: Share information about danger spots with the community and get more information about potholes or obstacles. Danger zones are also displayed in the Edge route planner so that routes can be planned more safely in advance.
• Cycling map with underground information: Pre-installed bike maps on Edge bike computers now offer a map option that displays underground information on paved and unpaved roads.
